I am suffering from a huge heterogeneous myoma of size 12.4 cm X 11.5 cm in the uterus. Also suffering from lower abdominal pain and disturbances caused by this Myoma. is it possible to remove it by Laparoscopic Surgery and get cured? Can you forward me to a Gynecologist who is expert in Laparoscopic surgery so that I can forward my investigation reports for better understanding? |

Dear Shrabony Das Patients struggling with the signs of uterine fibroids may have: 1. Heavy bleeding 2. Pressure, or 3. Pain Patient who desire an alternative to hysterectomy may opt for elimination of the fibroid (myomectomy). Fibroid removal is traditionally performed through a large, open incision in the abdomen - a process known as a laparotomy. In skilled hands, the surgical treatment is easily performed laparoscopically. Laparoscopic myomectomy typically results in a faster recovery, less pain, and decreased scar tissue formation over a traditional laparotomy. Most laparoscopic myomectomy patients go home the same day and are back to work within 1-2 weeks following the procedure. Additionally, pregnancy rates following a laparoscopic myomectomy are comparable to those performed via laparotomy. You can get laparoscopic myomectomy performed in any good centre and even you can opt for World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurgaon. With regards J.S. Chowhan. With reg |

2 days in hospital, and two weeks off work I guess if you are OK to work you'd be OK to tarevl. But remember, they may have to do a full operation if there are any issues with the Key Hole attempt to remove the gall bladder, in which cause you'll be laid up for about 6 weeks. |
