Dear Vicky If HSG is showing that tubes are blocked then tubal patency test is essential. Laparoscopy reveals more information, since a visual inspection of the anatomy of the pelvis is also carried out at the same time as the tubal patency test spill test with methylene blue dye. Further tests will follow by diagnostic laparoscopy at different times depending on the age of the patient, duration of infertility and the urgency of the couple. Tubal patency test by laparoscopy should be proven as a matter of priority. The cost of laparoscopic tubal patency test at World Laparoscopy Hospital would be 20,000 rupees. With regards J.S.
