Dear Dr Supiyo Mukharjee

Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery FLS program is establishes a typical set of didactic information and manual skills serving as a basic curriculum of minimal access surgery to guide surgical residents, fellows and practicing surgeons in the performance of basic laparoscopic surgery. By mastering the curriculum by participating surgeon and gathering of skills within this inanimate modality, it is expected that surgical residents and surgeons will initiate their learning curve and carry out their performance of laparoscopy more effectively, with greater skill and greater safety, with lower complication rates in laparoscopic surgery than ever before.

The specific purpose of FLS is that the knowledge and skills gained by those surgeon and gynecologists who master the FLS curriculum will enhance the quality and safety of surgical care delivered to their sufferers.

The online study guides in FLS program cover didactics, interactive patient scenarios and manual skills training, containing printable text reviews and exercise questions. The internet system allows program coordinators to manage and closely track the progress of their individual users.

The FLS program may be effectively accustomed to teach and assess both cognitive and technical skill aspects associated with laparoscopic surgery.

The curriculum is proficiency-based, whereby trainees are oriented towards the materials and self-practice until expert-derived performance levels are reached.

The FLS Laparoscopic Trainer Box allows practice of technical skills to improve laparoscopic surgeons dexterity and psychomotor skills. The simulated laparoscopic manipulation includes instrument navigation, coordination and cutting or knot-tying.

Residents may practice as much or as little as necessary for order to get the validated skills incorporated into the FLS modules. The recording materials function as a robust source of feedback for that learner and additional proctoring is recognized as optional. This protocol helps to ensure that all trainees achieve a great degree of performance, and it has correlated having a uniform successful passing score based on the FLS technical skills testing criteria. We recommend this curriculum for all resident levels. Surgery interns may benefit by mastering these skills early in their training, so that they are better ready for opportunities within the operating room and may undergo additional training in their residency when needed. Similarly, mid-level and senior residents will benefit by ensuring that all trainees have suitable skills to carry out a wide array of laparoscopic procedures.

At World Laparoscopy Hospital we have practical hands on training which is much superior for surgeons and gynecologists who wants to develop their skill in Minimal Access Surgery. For more detail you can log on to: http://www.laparoscopyhospital.com/SERV01.HTM
