Hiatus Hernia

I was operated on the hernia of the scrotum in 2001 and they immediately told me I have to do another one on the upper side of the abdomen, I suspect is heital. I do not trust any doctor around here in my country any longer due to their lack of equipments, unprofessionalism, carelessness and occultic activities. Please advice on what to do. If it entails my paying for the hospital bills and then come up for the medical surgery to your hospital, I won\'t mind doing that. My life is of importance to me. Please reply me urgently. I am presently experiencing abdominal pains, heart burns and reflux gullet. I went to a clinic in south africa to operate on it but had no satisfaction with the hospital due to they handed me over to students doctors whom I thought they will use me as their training experiment. Please help. |

Dear Abanus You should have confidence on your doctor and it will help you to heal faster. We can perform hiatal hernia surgery but a good surgeon even in your country can also perform it equally well. Post operative followup is very important and You can achieve better followup. A hiatal hernia is an anatomical abnormality in which part of the stomach protrudes through the diaphragm and up into the chest. Although hiatal hernias are present in approximately 15% of the population, they are associated with symptoms in only a minority of those afflicted. |
