Dear Sumit Gulati Traditionally, uterine prolapse is treated by vaginal hysterectoy with or without anterior or posterior colporrhaphy. But in many patients with co-existing ovarian pathology like pelvic adhesion Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy is good option even for prolapse uterus. In cases of pelvic and adenexal pathology it has importance of better visualization and better access compare to vaginal hysterectomy. So the correct advice about type of surgery required we can give only after examining your mother. With regards J.S. Chowhan |
