Hi,

My wife has been diagonised with the subseptate utreus. The septum measures 14 mm and occupies in the 2/5th portion of utreus.

Can you confirm, if your hospital has expertise in handling such surgeries.

Please confirm the doctor name and the relevant experience in terms of appox no of years and appox no of such type of surgeries handled.

On a rough estimate, how much time it requires for a patient to recover ( able to recover so that patient can attend office) and the cost involved in it.

Thanks!

Dear Rishu Dhawan

Not every subseptate uterus requires surgical correction to reduce poor reproductive outcome. But if your wife is suffering from primary infirtility or has suffered from repeated miscarriage the hysteroscopic correction is required.

We need to get one MRI of uterus done to confirm its exact location and the area it is interfaring the uterine cavity. Our hospital is specialized in Minimal Access Surgery and our gynecologist can remove your septa of uterus by hysteroscopy.

Hysteroscopic septoplasty significantly improved pregnancy outcomes in women, but did not influence reproductive outcomes in women with no history of poor pregnancy outcomes.

We advice you to send all your reports by email attachment so that we can give you a good advice.

With regards
M.K. Gupta
