I had a laparoscopy done on Dec 26, 2012 for enaculation of an ovarian cyst size 6cm on the left ovary. I returned to work after 10 days post surgery. But now I have the same slight pain on my right side which I had before the surgery. Actually the same pain made me go for a gynec checkup which found the cyst. Could it be another cyst forming up? I have a 2year old kid via a C-section. |

Dear Anith You should get one ultrasound done to see that if you have recurrence of ovarian cyst. Probably the most frustrating facets of treating cyst on ovary with laparoscopic excision is disease recurrence after surgery. When planning a laparoscopy, gynaecologists should know each individual type of ovarian cyst. each patient expected probability of recurrence in addition to her symptoms and desire for current or future fertility. Insurance firms details about factors that may be linked to a recurrence of ovarian cyst, gynecologists will be able to distinguish patients at risk, optimize the timing of laparoscopy and plan pre- and post-operative management properly. However, little study continues to be carried out to analyze various variants that could have impacts over a recurrence of ovarian cyst after laparoscopic excision. So please get USG and then consult your gynecologist if there is recurrence. As far as pain is concert it could be due to adhesion which can be removed by Laparoscopic surgery With regards J S Chowhan |
