Making a proper diagnosis of PCOS starts off with taking a thorough personal and family history, including symptoms, and completing a physical examination. A pelvic examination is also performed to examine within the vagina, the cervix from the uterus, also to feel and palpate the ovaries and measure the health and wellness of the woman's reproductive organs. During this examination, the care provider just might feel the presence of a cysts on ovaries that can result in PCOS.
