Dear Nusal Constipation takes place when pooping become difficult or more uncommon. The normal length of time between pooping ranges widely from person to person. A lot of people have bowel movements 3 x every day; others, just one or two times a week. Going beyond 3 days with no bowel movement is too long. After 3 days, the stool or feces become harder plus more tough to pass. You are considered constipated when you have several from the following not less than A few months: Straining after a bowel movement greater than 25% of the time Hard stools greater than 25% of times Incomplete evacuation more than 25% almost daily Two or fewer bowel motions per week.
