Dear Poonam Dewan You should get hysteroscopy done. A hysteroscopy is often a procedure for looking at the inside of the uterus using a thin, flexible, lighted tube. The lighted tube is known as a hysteroscope. The uterus will be the muscular organ near the top of the vagina. Babies develop within the uterus, and menstrual blood originates from the uterus. Your gynecologist may be able to use the hysteroscope to steer a power tool into the uterus to eliminate a polyp. A polyp is often a small growth in the uterus that could cause abnormal bleeding, interfere with pregnancy, or become cancerous. After operative hysteroscopy you will no longer hold the polyp. A hysteroscopy is short using a easy and quick recovery. With this procedure you prevent the discomfort, hospitalization, expense, and longer recovery of abdominal surgery, like a hysterectomy. Dear Aprajita, The signs and symptoms of menorrhagia include: -Soaking through one or more sanitary pads or tampons every hour for several consecutive hours. -Needing to use double sanitary protection to control your menstrual flow. -Needing to wake up to change sanitary protection during the night. -Bleeding for longer than a week. |
