Dear Mautushi Das Mature cystic teratomas, often referred to as dermoid cysts, would be the most common germ cell tumors with the ovary. Within the recent years, transvaginal sonographic carried out ovarian dermoid cysts together with laparoscopic approach have greatly improved treating this benign lesion. Experienced laparoscopic surgeons should think about laparoscopy as an option to laparotomy in control over ovarian dermoid cysts in selected cases. Using strict adherence to guidelines for preoperative clinical assessment and intra-operative management, laparoscopic treatments for dermoid cysts seems to be a secure procedure. The chance of chemical peritonitis can be minimized when undertaking laparoscopic removal of ovarian dermoid cysts if the peritoneal cavity is passed thoroughly from spillage of cyst contents. Drainage of peritoneal cavity must be performed within the patients while using ruptured dermoid cysts. The cost of laparoscopic dermoid cyst will cost you 76000 rupees at World Laparoscopy Hospital.
