sir i hve been maried since 7 yrs.aftr two months of marriage. i had 5 weeks ectopic pregnancy..laprotomy done. after a year i concieved naturely. but missed abortion,. third time was also a missed abortion.. now iam ttc for three yrs. had HSG two times. shows one tube is block from left side(where i had ectopic preg). second HSG shows blockage at right side.. now my dr suggest me to have laproscope, to get clear vission of my tubes.. but few dr dr strictly opposed, they think it is dangerious to have laprosopy, for a patient previously had laprotomy done. it may cause damage to other organs what is ur advise.. plz guide me. thanx |

Dear zeenat Previous laparotomy is not a contraindication for laparoscopy in experienced hand. Tubal patency test by laparoscopy is a good advice by your gynecologist. Tubal patency tests are undertaken when the doctors suspect that there are blockages or pelvic adhesions in the fallopian tubes. These tests include procedures like Gas Insufflation, Hysterosalpingography (H.S.G.), Laparoscopy, etc... so it should be performed by an experienced gynecologist. With regards J S Chowhan |
