Dear Lelo Msafiri In case of repeated fistula. The VAAFT also called as (Video Assisted Anal Fistula Treatment) technique is performed for the surgical treatment of complex anal fistulas and their recurrences. Key points of VAAFT are the correct localization of the internal fistula opening under vision of camera and telescope, the fistula treatment from inside is done in VAAFT, and the hermetic closure of the internal opening is done. This VAAFT technique comprises two phases: 1. Diagnostic one and 2. Operative one. There is no need to know the fistula classification which obviously saves time and money. Moreover, VAAFT Minimal access surgical wounds in the perianal region are prevented and the risk of faecal incontinence is avoided because no sphincter damages are provoked. You can get VAAFT done at World Laparoscopy Hospital. With regard J S Chowhan |
