Dear Soundarya

Initially you should try medical treatment for PCOS and if this fails than you can think about ovarian drilling.

Step one in managing pcos (PCOS) gets routine workouts, eating balanced and healthy diet, rather than smoking. This can be a medical therapy for PCOS, not really a lifestyle choice. Additional treatments depend on your symptoms and whether you are organising a pregnancy.

Should you be overweight, handful of weight reduction is likely to assist in balancing your hormones and start the menstrual period and ovulation. Use physical exercise as well as a healthy weight-loss diet as your first big treatment step. Many of the important if you are planning getting pregnant.

In the event you smoke, consider quitting. Ladies who smoke have higher amounts of androgens than women who don't smoke.1 Smoking also increases your chance of cardiovascular disease.

Should you be considering getting pregnant and weight loss doesn't boost your fertility, a medical expert might point to medicine that assists lower insulin. With weight loss, this may improve your odds of ovulation and pregnancy. Fertility medications also may help start ovulation.

If you're not planning a pregnancy, you can even use hormone therapy to aid control your ovary hormones. To take care of menstrual cycle problems, birth control hormones maintain your endometrial lining from increasing for days. Itrrrs this that prevents uterine cancer. Hormone therapy will also help with male-type hair growth and acne.2Birth control pills, patches, or vaginal rings are prescribed for hormone therapy. Androgen-lowering spironolactone (Aldactone) can often be in combination with estrogen-progestin birth control pills. This can help with thinning hair, acne, and male-pattern growth of hair on the face along with the (hirsutism).

Taking hormones will not assistance with heart, blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes risks. For this reason exercise along with a nutritious diet really are a major factor of one's treatment.
