Sir I 32 years old male with 94 kg weight. before last three I am never show the symptoms of GERD but when my weight goes up to 100 kg and I feel depression my Doctor advise me to reduce the weight so I start exercise in morning as well as evaning like heavy bending my stomach a the all up start first stuck phlegm in my throat then cough in night and after meal if take raw onion in my salad to reduce my hypertension and stress now in my endoscopy doctor Gastro write in my report that it si gastritis and my ENT proscribe me pentovon-D 40 mg twice a day these medicine suck. I want to know that is really I am suffering from GERD now soon I am going to die. can your renowned institution can help in that. Can I live the longer life like 10 years or 20 years. please help me please |

Dear Rajesh Kumar Sharma In our opinion your main problem in Obesity. Morbid Obesity is one of the cause of GERD. You should also get one Upper GI endoscopy and 24 hour dual probe ambulatory pH monitoring to confirm the GERD. Reduction of weight is very important but you should avoid the exercise which will increase the intra abdominal pressure. You can try the cycling Jogging and brisk walking type of exercises.
