Dear Doctor, I was diagnosed to have been carrying multiple gallstones, for the first time in 2010. But I have never faced any acute symptoms of it. Recently I have done another ultra-sound and it says that I am still carrying them. The radiologist told me to get it operated as early as possible, even though it has not causesd any problem yet. I would like to know what should I do? Should I go for an immidiate surgery or wait for the symptoms to appear? If I don't go for a surgery what complications may happen to me? |

Dear Mr Shankar Asymptomatic gallstone you may keep without surgery but if it is increasing in numbers as your ultrasonologist might have suggested you should get operated as per your convenience. With regard J S Chowhan |
