age87,has had banding and wiring done in past, complete prolapse affecting movement and quality of life,had sd hematoma and surgery for it in july2013 and is going for monthly reviews,how soon can laproscopy needed be done?how many days in hospital? chances of complete recovery and recurrence? best centres for treatment in india and in UK? |

Dear Mr Krishna Laparoscopic rectopexy is a good surgery for complete rectal prolapse but at the age of 87 years we have to see the risk versus benefit. You should bring the patient to see our doctor and then only we can decide that what should be the ideal management for him. With regard Sadhana |
