My son 21 years old is patent of RECTAL POLYPS for about 4 years. About 3 years ago went under surgery and surgeon removed the polyps by scaling. As per Biopsy report diagnosed as FEATURE CONSISTENT WITH INFLAMMATORY POLYPS. Ailment reoccurred after 1 year of surgery. Dear Nasser Ahmed. In case of recurrent polyp a stapled anastomosis of mucosa have shown a better physiological result, as a greater amount of residual rectal mucosa may increase late cancer risk. In case of your son annual endoscopic follow-up of pouches is recommended. Please consult a colorectal surgeon. With regard J S Chowhan |
