Hello sir,

Because of gall stone my gall bladder has been removed two years back but now around 2 months back I had some infection on my main opetative area....I consulted a surgeon he again opetated that area and cleaned the wound and after removing the stiches he advised me regular dressing for one weak....but still some transparent discharge is coming out from the wound every time I change the dressing....a small amount of discharge is seen...and doctor has asked if it still continues then I have to operate again...so please advice what should I do...thank you

Dear Rajpal Singh

You should get culture and sensitivity done of the dischage which come from the wound. Sometime this type of infection is due to atypical mycobacteria.

Your surgeon is right that sometime more debridment of wound is required.
