Gall bladder stone

Respected Sir/Madam , I am having gall baldder stone from last 8 year. during 8 year the size of stone increased from 0.3 mm to 0.9 mm. Recentaly i am having pain in stomach for some time. i started taking antacids syrup for time being some relief . I consulated one surgen he advised me to remove the gall ballder instead of gall stone. is it really required to remove the gall ballder it is not possible to remove only stones like kidney stone. Any other complcations after removall of gall ballder. please suggest. |

Dear Mr Abhimanyu In case of symptomatic gallstone disease entire gallbladder has to be removed not only the stone so your doctor has told you the truth. You should get laparoscopic cholecystectomy done. With regard J S Chowhan |
