recently i had a endoscopy and was diagnosed with sliding Hiatus Herania and GERD. doctor has adviced me to take PPI tablet (sombraz 40mg). i recently heard that GERD can be treated through LINX surgery. let me know if this surgery is avaialble in india and carried at your hospital. Let me know what the other options for this treatment |

Dear Dr Faiz Mohammed Linx is not good if you have hiatus hernia. Laparoscopic fundoplication should be performed. You should get esophageal manometry and 24 hour ambulatory pH monitoring done to know that you are a good candidate for fundoplication or not. With regard J S Chowhan |
