i am 34 i have had two children 13 and 9....i had my tubes tied Jan 2005. I have been having awful pain in my right side ovary as well as bloating, heavy periods, cramping all through periods and after...i went to the Er and was referred to a ultrasound and transvaginal as well...i received my results my uterus measures 8.5cmX4.5cmX5cm...endometrial thickness 5.4mm...3.5 cm X 2.7 cm X 2.5 cm heterogeneous mass-like structure within the uterus displacing/compressing the endometrium. Dominant follicles seen within the right ovary...what would you suggest bc i am in so much pain and nothing helps...should i just get hysterectomy since i am not wanting more children |

Dear Rebekah Presence of dominant follicles in Rt. ovary does not imply that your Rt. sided pain is because of the follicles.Heavy periods can be because of mass in your uterus. Please get one MRI Pelvis done to know the nature of the mass. You are young to undergo Hystrectomy.Get endometrial Biopsy done. Please send the reports to decide on the course of treatment. Thanks With Regards Dr Chowhan |
