Hepatitis C with high Ammonia in blood

Dear Authority, I am writing this mail to you to get advice from your expertise. Actually My father having Hepatitis C and he had blood test today only as attached in the mail. As doctor suggested us to get injections named as (sheenferon). So i would like to get your best advice should be go for injections because his ammonia is also high in the blood Medical Report Bilirubin- Total : 2.6 Bilirubin- Direct : 2.0 SGOT : 189.0 SGPT : 102.0 Alkaline Phosphatase : 321.0 Total Protein :7.5 Albumin : 3.2 Globulin : 4.3 Gamma-Gt : 287.0 Serum Sodium : 136 Serum Potassium : 4.7 Plasma Ammonia : 155 What is the treatment hope? Dear Simranpreet Singh Your father should consult a gastroenterologist.He will start the treatment with Injection Interferon. For high ammonia levels he should take syp.lactulose 15 ml three times daily.there is no need to lose hope. Thanks With Regards Dr Chowhan |
