I am 39 years old and have children. However, I wish to have another child and have not been able to conceive since one year. My youngest son is 6 years old, but I had a molar pregnancy in Mar 2010 and had D&C done. I have done USG, FSH, TSH and follicular study test which were normal, but the HSG report showed that both tubes are blocked, as the contrast did not definitively spill into the peritoneum. My gynaec is suggesting a laparoscopy surgery to investigate and tubal canalization if required. I would like your advice please.

Dear Raheel
HSG is not cent percent confirmatory test for Tubal Blockage.Diagnostic Hyesteroscopy with Chromopertubation is 100 percent cofirmatory test.Lap and Dye test can also be done.So you can make up your mind and get any of the two tests done.At World Laparoscopy Hospital we doing both these tests.

Thanks
