Dear Doctors of World Laparoscopy Hospital, Many thanks for starting such a nice service for the humanity and helping the needy people from all over the World. I am 42 year in age and having three children, one daughter and two sons. I am suffering from a big problem, My doctor has diagnosed that I have Mammary ductal carcinoma in my right breast. Left lower part of my right breast is swollen, enlarged and their is pain even if the undergarment is touching. I got one Mammography done one week ago and in that mammography it was detected that there is Invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Please advice me that what should I do? Some doctors are saying that I should go for chemotherapy but in BHU they said it is better to go for radiotherapy, my gynecologists has told that sometime hormonal therapy also works in these types of Ducyal carcinoma. I am fully confused. Please tell me that what is the ideal and most promising treatment for me. With regards Amritanandmayi |

Dear Amritanandmayi There is no text book or standardized treatment of carcinoma of the breast.Surgery, breast conservation, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or harmonal treatment all are employed in different settings and in various stages of the disease. It is always adviced to take two or three opinions to finally decide on treatment. Our's is a specialised hospital for laparoscopic and robotic surgery but you may come or send all the reports for further advice.
