Dear Mohamed Jahangir Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome is a rare disorder, recognized as, nausea, vomiting, loss of weight and post-prandial pain due to compression and partial obstruction of the third part of the duodenum. If conservative treatment fails, then laparoscopy with lysis of the ligament of Treitz is indicated along with laparoscopic doudnojejunostomy. The cost of this surgery will be around six thousand US dollars.
