Hello doc. In the past, she had drunk 2 days in a row, she felt low back pain with severe stabbing by nature. It hadn't been a muscle ache, he felt more internal around the right side and the left side. I took a medicine given to me by a GP and it calmed down. This time again a week ago, I drank two nights in a row and on the second night, I had 3 drinks. I started to feel the pain so I stopped drinking and just drank water. For the past 72 hours, I still have the same pain on both sides of my back. Help me please, what should I do? I took the same medication my GP gave me, but this time nothing happened, no relief. Looking for your advice. |

Dear Daren As your history suggests that the pain comes after drinking soyou may either be suffering from Alcoholic Gastritis or acute Pancreatitis. You should get an ultrasound whole abdomen and blood tests for serum Amylase and serum Lipase. Upper G I endoscopy is also indicated. You should stop drinking. Please consult any gastroenterologist for further advice. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
