Dear Sir,
My husband suffers from cirrhosis of the liver and has gallstones. Please let me know that laparoscopic surgery can be performed safely or not in my husband's case and what are the risks involved in the surgery. I would also like to know how many days he has to stay in the hospital and how much it will cost.

Dear Divya Thakur
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy is the prefered mode of surgery in cirrhotic patients. The presence of ascites can lead to post operative sinus formation. Please send the latest reports of your husband to give further advice. You may have to stay in the hospital for 3-4 days. The cost of this surgery will be around Rupees one lakh only.

Thanks
With Regards
