Dear Venkateshwar Naidoo The hemorrhoid surgery with PPH stapler is done as an inpatient and under spinal anasthesia. The advantages over the conventional surgery are early recovery, less post operative pain, no hanging threads, lower incidence of complications in the expert hands. In doppler surgery the hemorrhoidal artery ligation is done with the help of a Doppler instrument. This method is recommended only for Grade I and II piles. No longterm studies are available comparing this surgery with hemorrhoidectomy or hemorrhoidopexy. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
