Dear Vikash Kumar The initial treatment of GERD is conservative i.e. with medicines, taking small frequent meals and sleeping with reclining posture etc. If there is no relief then surgical treatment is adviced where Laparoscopic Fundoplication is done. But before surgery some tests are important like Upper GI endoscopy,24 hrs pH monitoring and oesophagus motility and gastroesophgeal sphincter manometric studies. You will have to continue Tab.Nexium and for deficiency of vitamin B 12 get Inj Neurobion as adviced by your physician. Thanks for the info. Could you please tell me Laparoscopic Fundoplication is permanent cure for GERD and what is the durability of this operation. Is this operation effect normal life and daily activity. After operation person can resume all their exercise, activity and food and total how many days it will take in operation and recovery?
