Grade 3 Endometriosis

I have had three operations for severe endometriosis. Once by laparoscopy and twice by open surgery. These two surgeries were performed by a gynecologist three years ago. Again I am suffering from severe abdominal pain. I have to inject myself at the time of menstruation. I cannot go anywhere for at least 10 days during my period each month. Just bedridden and crying in pain. I asked a gynecologist and she suggested robotic surgery. Please let me know if robotic surgery is a cure for severe endometriosis. I also want to know what the basic difference is between laparoscopic robotic surgery and da vinci. If I am going to have da vinci robotic surgery for endometriosis at World Laparoscopy Hospital, then how much will it cost? |

Dear Gurpreet Kaur The very nature of endometriosis is that it is associated with severe pain during menstrual periods because of back flow of the blood from the uterine cavity into the abdominal cavity. The relief of pain occurs during pergnancy or in the absence of the menstrual cycles. If you are married you can plan for pregnancy, otherwise you can take Inj Lupride every month to postpone the cycles. The surgery of endometriosis involves resection of endometriotic cysts, adhesiolysis and fulgration of the endometriotic patches. Definitely the da-vinci Surgical robot can perform all these tasks with much more precision but there is no permanent cure for endometriosis except for the removal of the uterus or menopause. The cost of the Robotic surgery for endometriosis will be around Rupees one lakh eighty thousands only at World Laparoscopy Hospital. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
