Dear Vidhi Agrawal The Dermoid cyst is present since birth and it keeps on growing slowly. The dermoid cyst compresses upon the normal ovarian tissue and damages it. The treatment of Dermoid cyst is the removal of the cyst and the preservation of the ovarian tissue. Since one of your ovary has already been removed , you should get the Laparoscopy surgery of the Dermoid Cyst done from an experienced Laparoscopic Surgeon. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |

Dear Samita, In some cases, ovarian cysts are caused by an underlying condition, such as endometriosis. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that causes lots of small, harmless cysts to develop on your ovaries. The cysts are small egg follicles that do not grow to ovulation and are caused by altered hormone levels. |
