I am 17 years old. I have few blisters in my mouth on the left anterior abutment. It hurts to swallow. I don't know what could be the cause of this. I have no other symptoms except this one. I don't take any cigarettes or other tobacco products and this has never happened to me before. The pain was so severe that I woke up two days ago at 2pm with a sore throat. I assumed it was a severe sore throat, but noticed that it also hurt near the back of my mouth rather than in the throat. So far I have done nothing to treat the pain except eat a tablespoon of honey before going to sleep as advised by one of my friends. Please help. |

Dear Gopal Yadav You are suffering from Aphthous ulcers which normally forms on consumption of Spices, Spirits, Smoking, Spikey or sharp edges of teeth. Sometimes in high fever also mouth ulcers are formed. You must consult the physician to find the cause and treatment of these ulcers. Thanks With Regards dr J S chowhan |

Dear Jayaram, The options for cure of this include: -Avoid spicy and sour foods until the ulcers heal. -Drink plenty of fluids. -Regularly rinse your mouth out with warm, slightly salted water. -Keep your mouth clean. -Take pain-relieving medication, such as paracetamol. -Apply antiseptic gel to the ulcers. |
