sir/mam,my mother has been diagnosed with Ventral Hernia 4 months ago. she is 48 yrs, over weight and has a disturbing sugar level. i want her to have a laparoscopic surgery but the due to lack of facilities in our town, we are left with open surgery. plz suggest the best way and where i can take my mother. |

Dear Shova You have to consult a Diabetologist to control the Diabetes of your mother before taking her for surgery. For obese patients Laparoscopic repair of the ventral hernia is all the more beneficial because in open surgery the incision is bigger in obese patients.
