i have been facing acid reflux for last 2 years without any heartburn or any sort of pain. I cough after meals and especially while talking. Though symptoms are in control, I would like to seek advice. I am 41. I don't drink. |

Dear Anup Kumar Your problem is in the begining stages. The criteria for Fundolication is 24 Hrs increase in Gastric acid production and pH, Esophagus shortening, decreased tone of the gastric esophageal sphincter, manometry of the body of the esophagus etc. If your symptoms are controlled with medical therapy do not go for surgery. Only if medical treatment fails then surgery is adviced. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
