We have been trying for baby from last 3 years after marriage but recently found that my wife has fibroid pressing over the endometrium cavity and abutting the endometrium measuring 40x30mm in size. 3D Sonography findings are;- Uterous is well visualised. It is antiverted and antiflexed. It measures 75x45x45mm in size. There is evidence of a hypoechoic mass is seen in the myometrium. It is seen pressing over the endometrium cavity and abutting the endometrium measuring 40x30mm in size. No necrosis is seen in it. No cysistic degeneration is seen in it. On colour flow imaging poor flow is seen in the mass. Endometrium also shows poor endometrial flow. No fluid collection is seen in utrine cavity. Also there is evidence of a complex cyst seen in right ovarion fossa. It measures 40x40x40mm in sizeVolume of the cyst is 35cc.multiple internal echoes are seen inti it.but no calcification seen in the cyst. Left Ovary ok. Please suggest treatment and is there still chances of getting pregnant. Plz reply. |

Dear Rajeev The occlusion or indentation of the endometrial cavity can cause infertility. Moreover there is a complex cyst seen in the right ovarian fossa. Please get MRI pelvis scan of your wife. It will clearly delineate the size and position of the endometrial myoma and the complex cyst in the right ovarian fossa. Please also get CA 125 levels checked. Send the reports for further advice.
