Dear doctor, I had irregular periods problem. So I was advised with an ultrasound in the month of January 2014. I was diagnosed with two ovarian cysts in the right ovary. One with a size of 3*3 cms and the other with a size of 5.5 * 5 cms. So I was advised with Nuva ring for three months after which I underwent Ultrasound again. The smaller cyst with 3cms was gone but the bigger cyst was still remaining. Hence I as advised to take CA125 the value of which came 216 mu ml. As it was at the higher range I was advised with an MRI. MRI indicated an Endometric Cyst. Now again I was advised with Ultrasound after 4-5 months. And the report says "Well defined cyst in right adnexa of size 52 * 51 cms. The wall of the lesion is irregular with maximum thickness of 5mm.Internal septations and echos are noted. o internal nodule seen. No internal vascularity noted, possibility of endometric syst." My question is whether Laproscopy is necessay and which doctor should I contact in person. I am put up in East Delhi. I am confused now. |

Dear Punya Khanna You have only written about the ultrasound report. Please also write about your complaints etc. Laparoscopic resection of the Endometriotic Cyst is the ideal treatment. You may contact any good Laparoscopic Surgeon in your area for the surgery. You may also get this surgery done from our hospital. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
