Fibroids and endometrium

Hi Doctor, My ultrasound scan shows a "Posterior wall intramural fibriod measuring 3.2x2.4 cm and a fundal intramural fibroid measuring 2.5x2.4 cm and endometrium reading of 6mm. I had a missed abortion of 10.1 weeks in the month of november2014. Do I need to take any surgery at this point in time with the above readings? |

Dear Tinini The size of the fibroids is small and would not have caused the missed abortion. Did you have missed abortion in the past also. May be you had blighted ovum. As such no surgery is adviced at present, but you must have regular check ups and monitoring with ultrasound. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |
