Hello After 2 years of overeating I began having sharp compressing pain in the middle of my chest which only occures if I bend over. The Drs confirmed it was not a cardiac problem but a GERD. I thought I could heal it by scrupulously following which position to have and not to have. I continued overeating and the pain changed from the heart-attack-like one to an epigastric burning which IS could handle. But as time goes by I began having burping and excessive farting. When I jump I felt like if the content of my belly is made of coca-cola. Now I have to burp like 10 times a min if I want to avoid the pain from bloating. Since GERD is always accompanied with excessive saliva secretion, would it be possible that swallowing these saliva cause the aerogastria? Thanks |

Dear First line management of GERD in medical therapy you should take any proton pump inhibitor by the advise of your physician, over eating should be avoided and try to have small frequent diet. If problem persist you should get one oesophageal manometry and 24 hr ambulatory ph monitoring done. |
