Dear Sir/Mam, Me & my wife both are 26 years old. We are trying to have baby from more than 1 year. My wife had some Infection problem about 5-6 months ago but now its fine. Now we are consulting to Gynecologist & our all reports are normal but in HSG test it is showing that both tubes are blocked at starting point near Isthmus & my wife feels no pain during the test. Now Dr. asked us to go for Laparoscopy operation. Then we consult to another Gynecologist & she told us that HSG test reports are not always correct. She told us that you both are young & have enough time and before doing Laparoscopy surgery, first go for ultrasound to check the Egg ovulation Cycle which is not performed yet. If it is normal then go for Diagnostic Laparoscopy to make sure that both tubes are really blocked or not & if they are blocked then she open them at same time. Then what is the difference between Laparoscopy surgery & Diagnostic Laparoscopy. Please let me know the cost of this treatment and also tell me that Diagnostic Laparoscopy and Surgery are covered in Health Insurance Policy or Not. I request you to please suggest your best opinion. |

Dear Praveen , You wife needs to get diagnostic laparoscopy done to see if the tube is blocked or not. If we find it blocked then laparoscopy tubal recanalization surgery will be done at that time itself to fix the problem. You may come to World Laparoscopy Hospital with your reports to consult a doctor. With regards Nidhi |
