Hi, I think I have my first hemorrhoid ever. It seems to be external. Its the size of a pea and have had it for 4 days now. I have been taking warm baths and drinking plenty of water but it has not reduced in size at all. Its not too painful but does feel irritated. Will it eventually go away by itself? Also, how long should I wait for it to heal on its own before possibly needing to make a doctors appointment?

Dear Chris

You can apply proctosedyl ointment. PROCTOSEDYL Ointment and Suppositories are used for the relief of the discomfort of haemorrhoids (piles) and other painful conditions of the anus. If the problem persist you should consult a surgeon for surgery.
