Dear Doctor, My daughter has developed dermoid cyst (101X78X75 mm) in the left adnexa. CT of KUB is as follows: There is a large well defined mixed density lesion in the left adnexa. This complex lesion contains fluid, soft tissue, fat and calcific densities. Few of the calcifications appear similar to tooth. There is fat-fluid level seen within the lesion. My question is: how much a surgery (laproscopy) will cost, and how urgent is the surgery. C-125: 8.6 |

It will cost you around 1,20,000 IC and as your daughter cyst size in big it will be better as early as you can go for surgery. with Regards Dr Rahul |

Dear Vedika, Dermoid cysts are caused when skin and skin structures become trapped during fetal development. Their cell walls are nearly identical to those of the outer skin and may contain multiple skin structures such as hair follicles, sweat glands, and sometimes hair, teeth, or nerves. |
