My name is Rezaul Karim. I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh. My wife is having fibroid tumors. She is 42 years old. We have a 12 year old son. My wife was undergoing infertility treatment for last 7 years. Last December after performing HSG doctor told she has fibroids and her fallopian tubes are blocked. Last February ultra-sonogram report says she had the largest heterogeneous myoma of 45x39x36 mm in size and others are less than 10 mm. After treating with some medication for about 8 months the latest ultra-sonogram (02 Nov 2016) report shows that the largest one has increased in size about 73x59x49 mm and others remained same. |

Dear Mohammad Rezaul Karim The size of the fibroid is big and the worrying thing about you is that it is increasing in size. You should go for the surgery for this. Laparoscopic myomectomy surgery can be performed if you want the reproductive potential of your wife is preserved. Another option is removal of the uterus if your familt is complete.Laparoscopic surgery is an advance surgery and it has many advantages over the open surgery like the the hospital stay of the patient is reduced, patient has minimum bleeding compare to the open, the incision is small, patient has a better recovery rate and many more.So you need to contact a good gynecologist or can contact World Laparoscopy Hospital. |
