Fibroid in Posterior Myometrium

My report says my uterus measures 63.79×30.84×33.46 mm. A fibroid of 6.20 mm ×9.99mm seen in posterior myometrium. Right ovary measures 30.51×20.68 mm.multiple follicles seen. Bilateral iliac fossae:mild prove tenderness present in right iliac fossa. Pod: free fluid seen in pod. Impression: Submucosal uterine fibroid. Since the first month of pregnancy i have a problem of back pain which has become permanent..but when i get my period the pain increases and i feel that the more pain i have in my lower abdomen it hurts.m ore.I'm undergoing treatment with medication for my fibroids because my periods are very long with a discharge of brownish periods for 5 days before the actual flow which comes with thick clot which looks like jelly, and after the actual flow discharge would still be there for as long as a week and the but can u please tell me what exactly is causing my lower back pain so much. Even doing household chores is difficult...i cant sit for long or stand for long...sleeping doesn't really help either...i am 28 with a year and 8 months son...please i need some explanation. |

Dear Mary Fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in or on a woman’s uterus. Sometimes these tumors become quite large and cause severe abdominal pain and heavy periods. In other cases, they cause no signs or symptoms at all. The growths are typically benign (noncancerous). Yes you can go for the laparoscopic surgery for this. Laparoscopic myomectomy is the surgery in which the fibroid is removed from the uterus. Small hole are made in the abdomen through which camera and instrument are passed and the surgery are carried out. The uterus is preserved in this procedure and only the fibroid are removed. |

About Laproscopic surgery because my my Fallopian tubes closed. Dear Sadhna You need to go for the laparoscopic diagnostic for further confirmation of your tube. |

Cervix: 2.5x2.1x2.4 cm Uterus: 6.3x7.5x7.6 cm, retroflexed M1 posterior lower segment intramural myoma with subserous component measuring 5.0x5.0x4.5 cm M1 posterior upper segment intramural myoma nodule measuring 2.7x2.4cm Endometrium: 0.5cm thin, hyperechoic Ovaries: Right: 2.8x2.8x3.2 cm, lateral Folicles There is a huge pelvoabdominal mass multiculated thin-walled (2.5mm) thinly septated (2.7mm) containing low to mwdium level of echoes measuring 12.3x11.3x8.64 cm suggestive of right ovarian new groqth probably mucinous in origin. uterus is anteverted and appears normal in size . intramural peripherally calcified fibroid measuring approx 11.7x9.6mm noted in posterior myometrium. another small fibroid measuring approx 4.3x3.2 mm noted in anterior myometrium .endometrial thickness 11.7 mm no evidence of polyp both ovaries appear normal size and echo pattern .no evidence of bilateral adnexal lesions .( uterine fibroid, grade i fatty liver).
