My Mother had uterus fibroid of 88 * 84 mm size. Her age is 70 years. Want to know the precautions and advice.I am attaching her last two sonography reports. |

Dear Patient, You have not mentioned about the symptoms. If there are symptoms like uterine bleeding present then she should get Hysterectomy done else if no symptoms are present then there is no need for surgery. |

Dear Sangeeta Yes, a fibroid can be the reason for the fertility. But the location of the fibroid is important mainly intramural fibroid can lead to infertility. Laparoscopic Myomectomy is the surgical procedure in which the fibroid from the uterus is taken out preserving the uterus but in hysterectomy, the whole uterus is taken out. |
