My name is Saad. I'm a 21 year old male from Kenya. My problem is a bit complicated so please be patient with me and help me. For the past 7 months I've been feeling a sense of heaviness on my lower right groin area and i can see and feel a small minor bulge in that area. The bulge is small and only me who can see it when i look downwards at the area myself. I did a CT scan in my country 3 months ago which showed a 2cm right inguinal hernia. I came to India in Pune for a laparoscopic surgery which was scheduled on 1st December. I was taken into the theatre and surprisingly the surgeon DID NOT see any hernia through the laparoscope so he didn't do the operation and he released me. He even showed me the video clip which i have in my phone. Now I'm back in my home country Kenya and i still feel some slight pain in my right inguinal region when i sit for long and sometimes when i exercise and i still feel a feeling of heaviness when i bend down and i still can feel the small bulge and my right inguinal region is a bit swollen than my left. I'm confused and left with questions. 1. Do i have a hernia or not? 2. Is it possible that the surgeon missed the hernia? Please advise me on what to do. Thank you in advance. |

If the surgeon could not see the hernia with Laparoscope it means there is no hernia. Sometimes the hernia is very small and it is called Bubonocoel. Please take a second opinion. |

Dear Saurav After the hernia minimum of 7 days, bed rest is required. Please take your medicine on schedule time because it will help to fight against the infection. Weight lifting and heavy work should be avoided for a period of 3 months. |
