I have a history of heartburn and feeling discomfort in my esophagus especially after feeding for the last 6 months. I have an Endoscopy done on 30th April 2021 that revealed a hiatal hernia of 2 to 3cm and Gastroesophageal reflux disease. I have been using PPIs and antacids for over 6 months and I'm still using it. I was given the option for surgery, and the available ones are open and laparoscopic surgeries in Kenya. The Doctor has informed me about incisionless procedure called Transoral incisionless fundoplication which is not available in Kenya. I'm asking if the procedure can be of help to me, where is it available, does the come with bloating and symptoms patients experience post open or laparoscopic reflux surgery, and the cost of the procedure (TIF)
