Dear Mrs Upma Das Unfortunately, there is no other successful treatment for gallstone disease. Laparoscopy is considered the gold standard for gallstone diseases. This procedure results in less postoperative pain, better cosmesis, and shorter hospital stays and disability from work than open cholecystectomy.
