I am writing from Pakistan seeking advice for treatment for my wife. We are married for 4 years now and visited the first gynecologist in 2017 after 1 year of almost trying for a baby. The gynae conducted a transvaginal ultrasound which showed a complex cyst in the left ovary with a solid tag and echogenic foci. She suggested the CA 125 test which presented a value of around 44. Repeat transvaginal ultrasound after 3 months again suggested complex cysts in both ovaries. The gynecologist suggested a laparotomy to remove the cysts. She was of the view that complex cyst won't resolve with medicines. We followed her advice and laparotomy was done which to our surprise failed. She said ovaries and tubes were both embedded in dense adhesion and she wasn't able to remove cysts since it wasn't easy for her. Recently a gynecologist carried out an assessment of her current situation using Pelvis ultrasound, HSG, and MRI. I am attaching reports for your kind reference. I request you to kindly have a look at HSG and MRI reports which are showing some abnormality of tubes and Uterus possibly endometriosis. I want to know if the condition can be treated with Laparoscopy and would it be possible to restore the normal function of tubes and ovary?. I'll be very thankful for your kind consideration. |

We can perform, Laparoscopic Ovarian cystectomy for your complex cyst but the following possibilities are there. 1. As you had previous open surgery, there may be dense adhesion, and in this case, it may be necessary that we have to open the abdomen. 2. The complex cyst especially due to endometriosis has the chances of recurrence. 3. I will advise you to get Robotic Surgery done. For this surgery, you can come to our hospital. Before coming I will suggest you get an online consultation with Dr. R.K. Mishra. You can get online Video conferencing by going to the following link: https://www.laparoscopyhospital.com/test.htm |
