Dear Sir,

I am a patient of GERD, I had Nissen fundoplication 2 years back due to acid reflux and lax rules. But the surgery did not resolve my issues also created more problems. So I asked my GI surgeon for a solution, he said a Belsey mark iv is possible with a Nissen takedown but he said only a thoracic surgeon can do that, but he doesn't know any surgeon performing the Belsey surgery. So I searched on google and found your name. Sir do you perform this kind of surgery?

The Belsey approach is a procedure that can be useful as an alternative in selected cases when there are co-morbidities complicating the transabdominal laparoscopic approach. We perform this surgery but we need a few investigations before surgery. Because your surgery is once failed we have to be more careful. An extensive esophageal work up with endoscopy, barium esophagography, manometry, and pH monitoring is mandatory before this second antireflux operation.
